
All GEMS are expected to attend scheduled round table meetings, events, and activities on time.
If a participant is unable to attend, a parent/guardian must notify a mentor in advance.
Repeated absences (3 or more unexcused) may result in probation or removal from certain activities (field trips, special events, etc.).
Late arrivals (more than 10–15 minutes) may be marked as tardy.
Consistent attendance is required to remain in good standing within the program.
All GEMS are expected to show respect to mentors, peers, and community members at all times.
Participants must follow directions given by mentors and staff.
Disruptive behavior (talking over others, refusal to participate, inappropriate language, etc.) will not be tolerated.

Community service is a core requirement of the GEMS program.
Participants are expected to actively contribute to service projects and initiatives.

Service hours will be tracked and recorded by mentors.
Failure to participate in community service may affect eligibility for rewards, trips, and recognition.
GEMS encourages giving back and being a positive impact in the community.
GEMS must dress appropriately for all meetings and events.
